Geology and glaciology were the first uses of Ground Penetrating Radar. Depending on antenna frequency and ground conditions, we can image shallow subsurface geology down to several meters (yards). We can image shallow water tables, sink holes, depth to bedrock, sedimentation layers, and estimate the depths and upper sediment layers of freshwater ponds.
