Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is an excellent tool for archaeology and forensics. With better resolution than other methods (both electromagnetic and gravimetric), GPR can investigate potential cultural sites with no destruction or disturbance to the sites. It is ideal for locating unmarked gravesites for investigation and/or relocation. GPR can locate the buried living surface, buried foundations, hearths, walls, roads, middens, voids (e.g. tombs and vaults) and large potential artifacts...all non-destructively. We were recently involved in the search for the Mission Santa Isabel de Utinahica and the excavation of Fort Hawkins.
